This is it! When it comes to meeting up with different members from headquarters within SigEp, this man is the number one person at the top of the organization. That individual of honor tonight is Grand President Tom Jelke. On May 13th, Ohio Nu had the chance to talk and really get to know him better virtually through Zoom.

For the final event of the semester, the whole chapter came out to hear what Tom had to say. Along with the chapter brother’s, the alumni also showed up to hear how they can help to improve on helping out the chapter. First, Tom had asked brother’s of Ohio Nu what they had done very well this past year and what it had done to further improve the chapter as a significant Greek life organization at CSU. One by one, many brother’s answered this until they had jotted down all of the important information that they could think of. 

Next, Tom went over with everyone what Ohio Nu could improve on, how it could grow even more and make a huge impact on campus in the future. He also said to continue to keep putting in all of the hard work and effort that goes into making Ohio Nu one of the most respectable SigEp chapters nationwide. Another important tip that Tom had given to the chapter that day was to in some way get other Greek organizations here more involved in activities that give back to the campus community overall. If this can be done, Ohio Nu along with the rest of Greek life itself can really leave an influential mark at CSU.

At the end of the day, Tom’s words of wisdom have really made many brother’s of Ohio Nu truly think about the future goals that they need to start setting for themselves in starting the journey to only then accomplish these objectives. This inspires each brother of this chapter to always display the best version of themselves all of the time no matter what obstacles may get in the way of doing so. Ohio Nu sincerely thanks Tom for giving up some of his time in the day to meet up with the chapter and for giving some of the most wonderful pieces of advice that anyone could ever ask for. He is without a doubt a perfect representation of The Balanced Man that all members of SigEp should strive to be.
