Sigma Phi Epsilon (SigEp), awards over $250,000 every year through its Balanced Man Scholarship to students at colleges and universities across the country. The Scholarship awards students who exhibit academic excellence, demonstrate leadership skills and commit to their health and well-being. The Ancient Greeks believed in developing a Sound Mind and a Sound Body as a way to live a more fulfilling life. SigEp adopted this philosophy with the Balanced Man Ideals and has awarded the Balanced Man Scholarship to some of the best students coming to campus since 1990.

Congratulations to our distinguished recipients of the 2022 Balance Man Scholarship, you are highly deserving of this award, and we wish you nothing but the best during your collegiate career and beyond!
This night would not have been as memorable without our two guest speakers. First, Brandon Thompson is a United States Air Force veteran and he is currently CSU’s Director of Veteran Student Services Program. Our second speaker was Professor James Jordan, a Psychology professor at CSU and Lorain County Community College. Professor Jordan gave us an inspirational talk on the value(s) of college education, and the connections with the values embraced as a brother of Sigma Phi Epsilon.
A special thank you to the alumni, volunteers, and brothers who worked tirelessly to make this fall semester’s Balanced Man Scholarship banquet possible. And thank you as well to the parents of our BMS finalists, who raised such high-achieving young men. We look forward to their success along with you.
