The strength, literal and figurative, of this Founding Father is unlike any in the chapter. Tim Kuhn joined Ohio Nu back in Fall 2016, and he has become an anchor for the chapter since then. Studying for a nursing major means that Tim’s time is pretty filled up, yet he still managed to make memories here at Ohio Nu. He is constantly showing brotherly love to both older and younger brothers. As well as being an example of how to uphold the values of SigEp through thick and thin. Tim has been the Balanced Man Scholarship Chair and the Vice President of Member Development for Ohio Nu. Speaking on these positions and SigEp as a whole, Tim says, “SigEp has prepared me to be able to adapt to new situations and take up leadership roles anywhere.”
Tim currently is working on the front-lines to combat COVID-19. For that, we thank him and his bravery. Once this whole ordeal is taken care of, Tim plans to pass the NCLEX and get to work at his new Fairview hospital job. When not working as a nurse, you can find Tim at the gym pumping iron where he is getting serious muscle gains. One of his lesser known talents is that he is a great cook. There is no and will never be a better grill master than Tim Kuhn.

Before leaving, Tim made sure to leave some of his profound knowledge for newer brothers. He goes on to state, “My recommendation is for new guys to make SigEp what they want. It’s like a Minecraft server. Build it.” As one can see, his bright personality never fails to shine through, which is what current brothers find admirable about him. Out of all his SigEp memories, he picks the Ohio Nu chartering banquet as his favorite. Some might argue that any memory with Tim Kuhn should be considered a favorite.

One of Tim’s biggest contributions is bidding in fellow senior and nursing major Jaret Steiber. Tim would go on to become Jaret’s Big. They have blossomed a very close friendship ever since, and both have brought a lot to the Ohio Nu table. Each one always finds a way to bring the other higher than they were before. Reflecting on Tim, Jaret said, “Hmm… Tim Kuhn… Kimmy Tuhn… God I love this man! I have never heard a more down to earth guy.. someone who probably should have went for psychology more than nursing because he has such a way with words that he can reason with you and work you out of any hole you get yourself into. Someone who will drop anything to be there for you when you need them the most.. a true friend.. a true brother!”

All in all, Ohio Nu will miss Tim Kuhn. He made sure everyone was attentive to the chapter while also being a person for any brother to reach out to. They do not make them like Tim Kuhn anymore. Where ever Tim’s bright future heads, Ohio Nu will support him as he always supported us.
