They say lighting only strikes once, but not with the Nahrstadts. Brad, Monmouth ’89, came first, and he took the SigEp world by storm. With multiple Buc Cup wins under his belt, many high profile positions, and an overall helping mentality, Brad was going to be hard to follow. However, some may argue that his son Benjamin Nahrstadt, Indiana ’16, equaled, if not surpassed, what his father has done. As that question remains unanswered, the only definitive point is that this father son duo has a wealth of SigEp wisdom to pass, and the chapter had the honor of hosting both.
It is a rarity to have both Nahrstadts talk at the same event, so this is a major victory for everyone that was present. As the chapter is looking to move onto the next stage of development, Brad and Benny provided pointers in that direction. With almost 5 decades of knowledge, they have seen great chapters and bad chapters, so they also let everyone know how important it is to not rest once a goal is met or if it is not met. The most important thing the brothers can do is cultivate that sense of wonder and grandeur that they can bring to the chapter.
A big thanks goes out to Brad and Benny for talking to the chapter. Their words will not go unnoticed as the chapter already works to implement the ideas they brought. This hopes to be the first of many visits that the famous SigEp family has with Ohio Nu.
